The Chevrolet Blazer is known for its durability and reliability, so it's no surprise that transmission issues are few and far between. The most common issue I know of is with the 4L60-E transmission, which was used in certain model years of the Blazer. A fair number of drivers report intermittent harsh shifting, particularly between first and second gear. It's important to note that this isn't a terrible issue in and of itself -- harsh shifting won't prevent the normal operation of the Blazer, but it can cause bigger transmission issues down the road. To mitigate, You should ensure that Your transmission fluid is changed every 25,000 to 40,000 miles, and topped off in between. Driving on low or broken down trans fluid isn't going to help anyone.

I have been having issues with my 2021 Blazer, when trying to accelerate it feels like it is slipping or hesitating to get up to speed and sometimes you can feel when it shift, my husband could feel it on the passenger side. I took it into my dealership last week and of course they didn't find anything wrong, I told them they were wrong that there is something wrong with my car. Well today, I get a text message stating to service my transmission just as the light came on and within minutes, the car was making an awful noise. I was on the expressway and doing around 70 mph and the RPMs were almost maxed out and it didn't not feel like you were going that fast, it also did the same thing doing about 60 mph. With the way the noise was, I seriously thought the car was going to blow up. Hmmmm...pretty major thing happening considering that there is supposedly nothing wrong with my car.

Today I put my 2021 Blazer RS in reverse and the engine just revved up. I put it in neutral and back to reverse, same thing and again when I put it in drive, just the engine revved like I was in neutral. I switched it to park and then reverse and it worked.
