The Dodge Dart is a generally reliable car, but that doesn't mean that it's without its issues. One of the biggest complaints from drivers under 100,000 miles is premature loosening or weakening of the motor mounts. It's not an overwhelming amount of complaints, but it's enough that it would cause me to keep an eye on my own, if that were what I was driving. The number one cause, it seems, of motor mount failure is collision. This is to be expected. However, number two is loosening and drooping -- that's not the be expected. In order to mitigate the dangerous effects, keep an eye on Your motor mounts from time to time -- just make a quick note of how they look each time You open the hood. If they look like their integrity is compromised, it might be time to consider replacing them.

Yes. I recently purchased a 2014 Dodge Dart GT. The dealership replaced the front struts, which subdued some of the noise that I was hearing. A week later, a accident on a highway I was driving, resulted in a detour onto monsoon washed out roadways. Of which immediately I knew caused damage. I took it in asap, and they informed me that the rest of my suspension was now in need of replacement. I also asked about the motor mounts. They replaced the suspension parts, and tested it. It still made clunky noises in the engine compartment on their test drive. So they did a mount check, and they found that one was in need of replacement, and the other, was showing some give. So I asked for them to replace both. Now I wait, as shipping of the mounts is taking longer than the actual replacement would. I believe that this should nix my issues.
