From time to time, You'll get some issues with the all wheel drive system in Your Hyundai Santa Fe. While I stop short of saying that the system is defective, it seems to have a much higher rate of failure than other similarly equipped vehicles. Namely, You may get the dreaded AWD warning light on the dash, and more severely, You may hear a knocking sound from the rear of the vehicle, which loudens as You go around turns. The AWD sensor is often the first to fail, but before You dive into that repair, You should ensure that it's not the only cause. Another common (and more expensive) issue is when the rear differential viscous coupler fails as they are known to do on the Santa Fe.

Some common awd system problems with a 2019 hyundai santa fe se 2 are due to blown fuses, faulty sensors and mechanical failures.
I have a 2022 PHEV Santa Fe and it got stuck twice this winter, once in a muddy level field and once in 2 inches of snow. In both cases the rear wheels refused to engage and the front wheels spun and couldn’t get a solid grip. I am taking it into the dealer and will sell it back to them if they can’t fix it. Worthless for winter driving.
All wheel drive not working light flashing in dash on test it said wheel Bering on drivers side change wheel Bering and sensor in same wheel still not working no knocking or nothing
