The most common Kia Sportage fuel injector problems are usually caused by the injectors becoming clogged or blocked. This typically happens when debris in your fuel Makes its way up to the injectors because it Makes it past the filter on the fuel system. When this happens it can result in a loss of power in the engine since there will be reduced fuel pressure. Usually it is best to replace an injector if it becomes damaged since the orifices are so small in them that they are very difficult to clean out. Injectors can also just wear out over time. They are a component that may need to be replaced if your vehicle has over 150,000 miles on it.
