Dodge's Ram 1500 with the 5.7 HEMI engine is a great vehicle, but even for one with an engine as powerful and reliable as this, there still can be some issues with a Hemi. Some that You may experience include loss of heat, torque curves, and ticking sounds. The last is what You're most likely to experience, and, thankfully, the easiest to address. Because a Hemi's cam heads have MINImal squish, they're extremely sensitive to the fuel octane rating. When You use a higher rated fuel, the compression is prevented from pre-detonating within the cylinders, which will remove the ticking.
