The 2009 Chevy TrailBlazer has not had any safety recalls issued by the NHTSA. When a vehicle has a problem that is tracked back to a manufacturing defect or mistake the company, Chevy in this case, will issue a recall that lists the VIN numbers affected. If the problem presents a serious safety risk to drivers the National Highway Traffic Safety AdMINIstration will step in and force the recall. Some of the more common complaints that owners of the Trailblazer have mentioned are issues with the headlight and turn signals, poor quality suspension parts, like control arms and issues with the transfer case which fails prematurely and with no apparent cause. Sometimes you can get the dealer to cover issues under an extended warranty but this is rare.
