The 2017 Chevy Traverse transmission problems are shudders or doesn't shift properly. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache. The transmission is one of the most crucial parts of the vehicle. You will come into issues at some point. The gears can become stuck. There could be jerking. Hard shifts may arise and that is no good. You might experience shudders. Delayed shifts will cause acceleration problems. The transmission could slip. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be patched quickly.

Ive had my 2017 Chevy Traverse for 2 months.. After about a week of having it it started shifting late between 2nd and third gear so I called my dealership and they tell me that the newer Vehicles takes about 60 days 4 it to get used to your driving. How true is that. They said that if there's not a light that's coming on then there's nothing wrong but it really feels like it's shifting really late and it could either be a transmission problem or something am I right?

My 2017 Traverse has 105,000 miles and the transmission is slipping between the 3rd to 5th gears. The shop offered a replacement for an estimated cost of $5,000.00. I called General Motors with no assistance being offered. I’ve always been a Chevrolet g purchaser but I’m currently looking at a Toyota Highlander. I have several friends that own these no no real issues at miles well above the 105 I have.

Just brought my 2017 traverse premier in for shuttering between 30-40 mph. It only had 127457 miles (2,457 over extended warranty) and it’s shot. Dealer want to replace transmission $6,687. I guess I need to go back to Honda or Toyota for a reliable car

My 2017 traverse premier fwd started shuddering recently and I took it in to get a flush but I’m sure that the torque converter needs to be replaced. Fluid was really dark and it only has 85k. Got it at 60k. Of course they are gonna try and dodge any hint about this being a common problem. I hate newer cars.

It's a shamethat these companiesgot a bail out acouple of years ago. The vehicles are still money pits. We got our traverse brand new. Started having transmission issues right out of the gate.. Took it to the dealership to get looked at , they said it'sa learning transmission.. I was like it should be jerking when it shifts..what do we know.. Lol!! As long as they make money..

The 2017 chevy traverse's transmission has been known to start failing and cause a no reverse situation, slipping, and rough shifting between 3rd-5th gears.

We've had our 2017 Chevy traverse for about 5 years, 85,000 mi, now we have transmission problems and they want to replace the whole transmission for a minimum of $5,000. Compare this with my over 15-year-old Toyota tundra that has had zero major mechanical issues. I'm thinking of getting rid of the Chevy and going back to a Honda or Toyota.

I'm very disappointed with Chevy . We own a 2017 Chevy Traverse. Love the car and all the room,it has . Only thing that upsets me as Chevy new about issues with the transmission and torque converter and didn't do d**n thing about it. Want people buy extra extended warranty. Why you won't cover the expense of new transmission and torque converter. Ours started making ashamedngband noise at 120,000 miles. When our mechanic called see if there was anything Chey would do,nope. So we as Owners are to.pay for this very expensive repair. With new transmission and torque converter it will cost us almost as much as what we owe on it. And I Also found out it's a Ford motor in these.. It's d**n shame because we have had Chevys before no.isdues except for two Chevy Silverados, they smoke big time after over 180,000 miles. Sorry to say we won't buy another Chevy. And neither will our son has he also owned both types as vehicles as us. Sad part for me, this traverse is my only transportation for me to take husband to all his appointments everyday. He had to retire early due to medical reasons and living on a fixed income, we won't have money to fix it.. So sad 😭

So my question is , is anybody getting together and doing something about this, I also have a 2017 Traverse and does exactly everything everyone else is saying, it’s the only vehicle we have and two of us have to use it for work, errands , kids with school, appointments, etc….. I honestly feel like it’s about to give out and the dealers don’t want to do anything about it, wait I forgot to mention I’m a single mother of 4 and 3 jobs!!!! Something needs to be done!

They should do a freaking RECALL transmission,I've replaced the front rotters 2 times plus breaks now the blower in back won't come on a/c stopped cooling the car. I have had old cars last longer than this . Yes I am mad
