The Chevrolet captiva 2014 problems are oil leaks or brakes lock up. Your oil needs to be changed eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't change it, there will be problems with the engine. Having high quality oil is essential for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with this fluid at some point. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. You could experience bad gas mileage. Knocking noise may show up from the engine.

The most common problem reported for the 2014 chevrolet captiva has to do with excessive oil consumption by the 2.4-Liter ecotec engine. This causes engine knocking, damaged components, and the illumination of check engine lights.

I also had the key sticking. My mechanic friend advised me to really push the brake down as far as I could when taking the key out of the ignition. I had to do it several times as my key continued to get stuck but eventually the key stopped sticking.

They typically use oil, have knocking sounds in the engine, and surging when stopped but they are really pretty reliable.
