The common problems with the Chevrolet Captiva automatic gearbox include rough shifts between gears, as well as excessive noise from the transmission. Some of the problems can lead to the transmission completely failing and needing to be replaced. The most common problem is a rough shift between second and third gear. This can happen when there is a problem with the synC-HRo ring between the two gears. It is also possible for a gear to get damaged and have a tooth chip off of it. I recommend that You check Your transmission fluid every time that You change Your oil to make sure it is full and free of debris. Usually fluid that has debris in it will be metallic and sparkly in color.

I m having problem with captiva model 2007 car gear stays in gear 4 and I change computer of gear plus i also changed the gear box This problem happens sometimes only but I don’t understand what can be the issue

HAVE A 2013 CAPTIVA AUTO, COMING HOME LAST SUNDAY, SUDENLYENGINE REVING AT 5000 REVS AND LOST GEARS, AFTER SOME TIME, TRIED TOMOVE WENT ABOUT 200KM THEN BROKE DOWN AGAIN, COST ME $320.00 TOBE TOWED HOME, NOW STILL THE SAME, MOVE BACK, MOVE FORWQARD THEN NOTHING ANYONE CAN ADVISE ME, SPOKE TO HOLDEN DEALER AS I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 13999 ON SPEEDO, THEY SAID NO CANT HELP YOU.
