If the Chevy Silverado is having issues with the climate control system, then it can be a few things. If the blend actuator motor is bad then You will not be able to control the temperature of the air coming into the car, nor will You be able to control the intensity of the air. If the fan motor is bad then You will find that the air will not circulate, though You will get noise if You turn it on. Finally, if nothing is working it is also quite possible that the fuse has burnt out. If that happens You will need to find the fuse box, either under the hood or to the left of the steering wheel. Fuses are simple to replace, so this should be the first thing You check.

I have a 2016 Chevy HD. I will turn on the defrost of the blower to floor heat. No matter what have it set on just blows out the dash vents. Is this the mixing door failed?

The most common climate control problems in a chevy silverado are related to the blower motor and the mixing door failing.
