The most common (and costly) problem You'll find with a Chevrolet Volt at high mileage is a failure of the high voltage battery. As these can cost up to $10,000 to replace, there's a good chance that the cost of a swap can greatly exceed the value of the vehicle. If You're purchasing a high mileage Volt used, Your deal may quickly turn into a nightmare. Another thing to be cautious of is the coolant system, since it runs three unique loops; one for the engine, one for the battery, and one for the high voltage electronics. Replacement of these loops isn't too incredibly pricey, but the damage that a failed one can cause is catastrophic, and certainly not worth it on a high mileage vehicle.

I only have 64,000 miles on my 2015 Volt and am only getting 24 to 30 miles out of a charge. Is there something I can do to revive the battery life?

I have a volt 2017 with 111523 miles. I'm a lyft driver in Michigan and I get 39 to 61 miles on charges. It depends on my speed. At 70 mph in summer , get about 51 miles. It has always been this way.in winter i get 39 at the same speed. At slower speeds I can achieve up to 61 in summer and 50+ in winter..

High mileage problems in the chevrolet volt are related to the battery pack degrading in the vehicle.
