The most likely reason that there is a clicking noise in the dash of a 2011 Chevy Impala is due to a problem with the A/C system. Usually there will be a clicking noise when there is a problem with the blend door actuator. The blend door actuator adjusts the blend door to control where the air goes in Your car. This is what adjusts when You select if You want air to come out of the dash or in the footwells. It could also be a problem with the blower motor. If the bearing in Your blower motor starts to fail that can also make a clicking or whining noise. Both of these are part of the HVAC system for Your car. If You turn off Your AC usually the sound will go away.

If your 2011 chevy impala is making a clicking noise from under the dash it might be either a failing body control module or a defective actuator for an hvac blend door.
