Coolant leaks are pretty common occurrences in many vehicles, and the 2016 Chevrolet Sonic is no different. In order to properly diagnose, You'll first have to determine where the coolant is coming from. The most common cause is a broken or split line somewhere in the system, so if You're able to pinpoint where You're seeing the coolant, this would be a tremendous help. Another common point of failure is the water pump. When the bearing starts to fail, it often begins throwing water just a bit. As time wears on, this can manifest as larger and larger puddles. Also common is a radiator leak or a hose leak; these can be a bit more troublesome to pinpoint, but they're a relatively simple fix with a patching additive.
