If the check engine light on Your Ford Escape continues to blink without stopping, it most likely means Your engine has started to mIS Fire, and the cylinders are not working normally. Continuing to drive with this condition could damage Your catalytic converter. The check engine light is indicative of a part of the car needing attention. In some cases, it comes on as a routine reminder to have Your car serviced. In those cases, an oil change might resolve it. You shouldnt neglect other possibilities such as bad oxygen sensor, bad wiring, bad spark plugs, low battery voltage, or a loose connector. Keep track of Your engine performance and have Your vehicle checked with an OBD-II reader, as soon as You can..

The check engine light on a ford escape will illuminate for a huge variety of reasons. The easiest thing you can do is to first check that the gas cap is screwed in all the way, as this is a common issue and is very easy to fix. If the problem persists, you'll need to have a mechanic connect a code reading tool to find out what the computer is reporting as an issue.
