If You see check charging system means on a 2006 Ford Expedition it means that Your battery is not charging correctly. This is something that You will need to take care of right away. If the battery itself is damaged or dying then You will need to get a new one, lest the car becomes stuck wherever it is at. If there is something wrong with the alternator then You will need to get that replaced, costing about 500 for parts and labor, or You will end up with both a bad alternator and a dead battery. If this goes ignored for more than a day You likely won't be able to start the car, and even with a jump, it may not turn on.

The 2006 Ford Expedition charging system Warning Light is located on the instrument panel. This light illuminates when your vehicle's battery is not charging properly. It's important to have this issue resolved quickly, or else your battery may not be able to charge, and your vehicle may have problems starting.
