A P0011 code on Your 2014 Chevy Equinox is the OBD-II generic code indicating the engine control module (ECM) has determined that the bank 1 intake camshaft is more advanced than what the ECM has commanded it be. This over-advanced condition could be during advancing or retarding of the camshaft timing.Camshaft Position Actuators change the lift of the camshaft up to 25 degrees. They are hydraulic, which means that they use the vehicles engine oil to control the lift. So, if You have low oil pressure or d***y oil, it can keep them from doing their job properly, and trigger P0011.
