The TC light on a Chevy Equinox means that the traction control system has activated. This usually happens when one of the wheels detects slipping and then it will turn on to prevent the vehicle from losing control. If You notice that the light has been on for a long time make sure that You did not accidentally turn it on using the button to manually engage it. If You did not then there is a chance that there is a fault with the traction control system. This can happen when one of the sensors has a problem and will need to be replaced. You should take care of it as soon as possible since the system communicates with Your brakes as well.
