If the TC light is illuminated on Your Chevy Malibu dashboard instrument cluster, it indicates that the traction control system is either not working or has malfunctioned. Many times this is caused by failed PCV orifice diaphragm, which occurs when excessive pressure from the intake manifold non-return valve causes the diaphragm to break. This will not only cause the TC light to come on but will also cause an unstable idle and a vacuum leak. Some have complained of excessive oil consumption and a loud hiss coming from the diaphragm vent. Replacing the camshaft cover normally fixes the problem, but only temporarily.
When the traction control system is not working, it will illuminate a tc warning light on the dashboard cluster of your chevy malibu.

Traction Control is off. The button is below the temperature cluster, beside the 12v power supply. The only time I find that I turn it off is when I have to drive through deeper snow, mud, or if I ever get stuck. Turning off allows you to increase the rpm (power) needed to push through.
Will a modgule intake leak cause the TC light to turn on from over heating if the machanic says he replaced the Intake gasket and termaste dash bord ight is on now
