The multiplex control unit on the 2002 Honda CR-V controls many of the vehicle's auxiliary functions; if You're losing automatic door locks, instrument cluster sounds or chimes, air conditioning, or other symptoms, You may need to diagnose or repair the MCU. In order to gain access, You'll need to remove the passenger's dashboard under cover. There, You'll be able to find the unit in the underdash fuse box. Honda has put together an exhaustive list of diagnosis and testing, where You'll be able to find the proper voltages and methods for deterMINIng what, if anything, has failed. You can find this list at https://Honda.automotive-manuals.com/cr-v-2002-2005/A00/HTML/51/S9A2E51J00050641901FCAT00-multiplex-control-unit-input-test.html . Note that this is a fairly simple swap, but the replacement part can be quite expensive.
