Depending on the configuration of Your 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, You'll be able to tow between 5,200 pounds and 6,800 pounds. Obviously, the smaller 4.2L 6 cylinder engine has a lower capacity than the 5.3L V8, which in turn has a lower capacity than the 6.0L V8. Drive type also affects capacity; two wheel drive vehicles are capable of towing slightly more than their four wheel counterparts. Most importantly, Your Trailblazer is only able to tow what it will tow. If You're nearing the capacity and find Your transmission overheating at highway speeds, You may want to ease off the throttle or lighten Your load (if possible). Overtowing is the leading cause of transmission damage, so be sure to take special care of Your Trailblazer so it will last You years into the future.
