The 2018 Honda CR-V comes standard with a suite of safety features known as "Honda Sensing" that includes "blind spot monitoring"; "lane keeping assist"; "adaptive cruise control" and "road departure mitigation". A "Blind Spot Monitoring Info System Problem" warning may be displayed if the sensors are having difficulty functioning. A very common reason why this happens is due to moisture on the inside of the driver's door frame. Dampness can interfere with the sensor located on the door mirror. Letting the car dry out should solve the problem. The sun or daylight can obstruct the sensors' operation as well. Blind spot monitoring is dependent of 5 sensors in total, including two on the rear bumper that can become damaged, d***y or faulty through exposure to the elements.

The sensors in the bpis can fail to activate when the car is at speed, or they may trigger when they should not causing warning for things that are not there.
