To "relearn" the Ford F-150's throttle body, move the car to a flat surface, set the parking brake and put the gear shift into park. Switch off all accessories. Fire the engine and run until it reaches operating temperatures and let idle for at least 1 minute. Turn the air conditioning on and let idle for another minute. Release the parking brake keeping Your foot on the brake pedal and the AC on. Let run another minute. After take Your foot off the brake, shift into drive and run the vehicle for at least 10 miles to recalibrate the throttle body. Almost all 2000 Ford models now employ an ETB, or "electronic throttle body", that is controlled by the car's main computer. "Relearning" the ETB can help correct a rough idle and is often necessary after disconnecting the battery.

There is a sequence of turning the key on and off and pressing the gas pedal down to open up the throttle position sensor on the f 150.
Yes. There are two different parts. This recalibrates throttle body. The slow down, quick off repeated 3x with key on/engine off is for pedal relay cal.
