Resetting the anti-theft system on the Ford Fusion is pretty simple. You will need to get into the car and make sure the doors are shut. Put the parking brake on and then wait a moment. Now insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the on position and then back to the off position. Do this quickly 8 times. It must be done in under 10 seconds. Once You turn it off for the last time the anti-theft light should blink. This tells You it has been reset.

In order to reset your anti-theft system, you must first put the key in the ignition and turn it from the "off" position to the "run" position eight times in ten seconds, ending the last turn in the "run" position. When the locks click, press and hold any button on the remote for up to 30 seconds until the locks click again.

Worked for me on every Ford. Disconnect the battery then Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to on position. Lastly reconnect the battery and that's it.

Put your key in the ignition. When starting press the key in towards drivers window well cranking. I spent days fighting this then I figured this out. Starts every time.

Hi, I tried the ignition x8 thing on my 2004 Fusion, it didn't work and locks don't activate, but on the 4th or 5th time mostly, I hear a long internal bleep (lasts about a second or two)

Someone is my passenger seat hit the push to start button while the car was parked, now the car won’t start. The brake pedal is locked up. I think it has something to do when the anti theft features. Any advice?
