The blinking red light on the dashboard in a Honda Accord is there to let You know that the alarm system is enabled. When this light is flashing it means that the alarm will go off if You try to open one of the doors. This system will also disable the ignition until the vehicle gets a signal from the fob to unlock. If Your vehicle is unlocked and has the light flashing that means that You may need to reset the system. To reset it You should press and hold the panic button for five seconds. After that press the lock button, then You can press the unlock button to disable it. If You have repeated problems with Your alarm You should let Honda inspect the body control module.

Last after coming home late, when I got out of the car, I saw the usual anti-theft system light blinking of to the right of the dash board, which it has always done but when I locked this time a red light in the dash board was blinking too. It's never done that with me before, it's a 2006 honda accord. Anybody know how to get it off or is there something wrong with car?

The answer for me was to leave my foot off of the break and press the start button for 2 seconds. There were instructions on the radio telling me to do this. 2018 Honda Accord touring.

If you have a Honda accord 2011 and you see thisred dot in your Honda that’s telling you do not get in this vehicle because the alarm will go off and it can call the police.
