Limp mode in any vehicle, including Your Honda Accord, typically represents a very serious issue with Your transmission. As such, the best and really only way to "reset" limp mode is to read the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) that Your engine or transmission is giving You, and remedy the issues. Occasionally, You'll find that turning the engine off for 10-15 minutes and restarting will fix the issue, but more commonly You'll be looking at a more involved repair. A great firSTStep is to check Your transmission fluid level; low fluid can cause a number of issues which might lead to limp mode. If this isn't Your issue, You'll need an OBD-II scan tool to read the fault codes, and they'll point You in the proper direction for a fix.

To bypass limp mode in a honda accord is to shut off the engine for about 5 minutes and restart it to see if the issue has resolved.
Just did this for an Accord that my fiance ran out of gas for a second time. It went into limp home mode shortly after refilling it. Called a dealer and they sugested trying this and it worked. Pull the terminals off the battery and zip tie or vice grip them together to insure contact for an hour. This should drain any residual charge in the electrical system and fully reset the ECU and get it out of limp home mode. It just worked for me and saved me a 30 mile tow to the dealership for a Honda factory laptop system reset.
