The Honda CR-V trip meter can be reset fairly easily by first bringing up the display and then press and hold the select/reset knob until the number resets to 0.0. Just know that there are different trip meters Trip A and Trip B and You can switch between the displays by pressing the select/reset knob to cycle through them. You will have to reset each one individually. When You turn on the ignition You will notice that the laSTSelection will be displayed. This will also be the same way to reset the maintenance minders on the vehicle such as oil life reset and the other reminders.

This is a separate meter form the miles driven meter, and can allow you to track how much you have driven over a set amount of time.
