The Tacoma V6 employs the 4WD technology with A4.0L 6-cylinder engine, using up to 5.5 quarts of motor oil in the process. While semi-synthetic or engine oils can be used, Toyota recommends the use of 100% synthetic oils to boost efficiency, safety and longevity. Your car will thank You for it. For best results, Toyota recommends using either a sae 5w-30 genuine motor oil, or an equivalent oil from an api certified provider. This greatly increases the longevity, efficiency and performance of the car with 7,000 to 10,000 miles being the recommended period between oil changes. If using a conventional oil, the car should see an oil change every 3,500 to 5,000 miles.
