The Chevy Silverado with an error code listed as p06dd is listed fault as engine oil pressure control circuit stuck off commanding high oil pressures upwards of 95 psiAnd or the oil pump face may be damaged. This code was most likely to happen with the Chevy Silverado model years froM2014 - 2016. The possible causes for this are low oil levels, incorrect oil filter, faulty engine oil pressure sensor, or the oil pump has stopped working. The problem is usually caused by the tesnioner spring in the timing chain guide that is short and not fully able to guide the pivot end and causes issues with the oil pump. If You have this problem take it to the dealership and they will replace the short spring and also inspect the bearings of the oil pump to make sure there is not damage wear due to debris from the oil pump.

Vehicle setting code p06dd, no or low oil pressure, oil control valve may stuck off controlling high oil pressures (95 psi) and may damage the oil pump face.
I have exactly the same problem with my 2022 Chevrolet Suburban Diesel. Bought this vehicle end of March 2022. I got this code around 4000 miles first time. Took it to dealer. They said it’s computer problem and they said they updated it. And also said that technician recommended to do oil change every 3000! I have never every 3000 synthetic oil, always 5000. Even their sticker says 7000. Now I got same exact code and I have 9673. It’s very annoying when you have brand new car, very expensive one and need to deal with it. What to do guys?
I’m currently having the same issue with my 2018 Silverado. Bought the truck 6 Months ago after 2 days of having the truck error code po6dd pulled up on my reader. Brought the truck to the dealership. They tried to say that it was just an old code that they had forgotten to clear! The next day it popped up again took it back and they replaced the oil pump had no issues since until about 2 days ago. Same code yet again
Bad oil and more than 5000 km will active cod p06dd

Start with oil pressure sensor, about a $30-40 sensor and easy to replace, check PCV valve..cheap, change the oil and filter, if that doesnt help its the oil pump and solenoid which if not covered under warrenty will cost you big time! I have 2 chevys and it will be the last 2 chevys I ever own!!!!! Chevy does not uphold warrentys or recalls! Will not properly fix or replace anything! Their vehicles are built cheap with junk parts and highly overpriced!!!

We bought a 2022 6.2 liter motor. The check engine light has come on twice. The pick up has 11,000 total miles. The dealership is dragging their feet about wanting to replace the oil sensor. Our gas mileage has went from 24.9 down to3.5 mpg. II would like to knowif there’s anyway to make Chevrolet responsible for the horrible gas mileage. If we hadn’t paid cash I would’ve let them repossess it by now. Can anyone give me some help on what to do?
