The 2019 Toyota RAV4 has said that all 2019 manufactured in the last quarter of the year are going to have Android Auto and the Rav4 purchased in 2019 will be eligible for the free upgrade to Android Auto. There will be an update for the infotainment system that will allow the support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can do the update Yourself but it is not recommended and it should be taken to an authorized dealership for the update. This will let You avoid any issues You encounter and also not destroy the Toyota Software as it can be possible to brick the entire system which will cost You thousand of dollars to fix.
Android Auto is not still on the update....3 trips to dealer still won't work bought Rav 4 was told it had android auto, doesn't they did update, really like Rav, hate Toyota right now
Went to dealership they know nothing about a update for my 2019 rave4 to get android auto how do I get it. Thanks

All 2019 rav4s manufactured in the last quarter of 2019 will come with android auto by default. Rav4s produced before the final quarter are eligible for a free upgrade to android auto.

Just get an iPhone, problem solved. Cheaper than spending on a whole new car.
There's a device that you can get from Amazon fit a $100 that allows an android phone to use carplay. It will connect wirelessly with your phone an car when you get in.

How do I prove this. I work at Toyota and they are telling me that my 2019 my fiancé just bought does not have the update. Now were are SOL on a 2019 Rav4 that cost us more than in should have because of the vehicle shortage.
I am sitting in the toyota service center waiting area. No one in the service center has any idea about this update and looked at me as if I had two heads. They claim it is not physical possible. Not sure where the person who provide the info on 'said' upgrade receives this info but... Seems he's the only one that knows about it!
