The 2009 Toyota Yaris is a fairly compact vehicle, and houses a 1.5L four cylinder engine, with a transmission fluid capacity of 3 quarts. The car, by virtue of its engine, is capable of generating 106 Horsepower. Its a car that has gained a ton of popularity, especially for city use due to its compact size and frame. For best results, Toyota recommends using the SAE 5W-30 viscosity full synthetic oil. While semi-synthetic and conventional oils are definitely viable options, a full synthetic oil offers a ton of protection and performance to the engine. Its best to change the oil once ever 7,500 to 10,000 miles according to Toyota.

The 2009 Toyota Yaris owners manual states 2.6 quarts of Toyota WS Transmission fluid when raining the pan/changing filter. The Yaris owners manual should be in your glovebox or you can Google and find pdf copy online and capacity is in “specifications” in the back of the manual.
