The recommended fuel type on the 2013 Chevy Avalance is regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. It is not advised to use gasoline with an octane rating below 87 since that can cause damage to the engine. If You want to know how much gas the Avalanche can hold, it iS31.5 gallons. If You happen to have a yellow gas cap then You can use gas with up to 85% of ethanol without having any issues. Remember not to drive around with low amounts of gasoline for a long period of time since that can damage Your fuel pump.
