The Hyundai Sonata will need to run on regular unleaded gasoline with an octane of 87. There is no benefit here for using premium fuel as the engines in these vehicles were not designed for it You will not receive any improved performance. The fuel tank capacity for the newest generation of Sonata will be 18.5 US gallons. The MPG rating will be 25 city and 35 highway. This will give You a trip range of 460 miles for city driving and an absolutely impressive highway trip range of 650 miles. This is a great vehicle to take on a long road trip because You won't have to make many stops at all.

A 2020 hyundai sonata only needs regular gasoline but you can use a premium fuel for higher performance.

Eco Reg etc... It loves Shell V-Power but what car doesn't? If you can afford to stick with Shell V-Power then do it. Your engine performance smoothness and volume will testify to it's excellent fit for the Sonata.

Using Premium fuel "for better performance" is not true for vehicles with low compression engines, such as the Sonata. Octane level is often misunderstood. Higher octane level = colder burning fuel, High compression = higher combustion temps. In other words, higher octane prevents the fuel from detonating early due to high compression/combustion temps in the combustion chamber. A higher octane fuel will actually reduce performance and can harm a lower compression engine.

87 octane it’s manufacturer suggestion. Upgrading to premium doesn’t make much of a difference so isn’t worth the price increase. And sheetz E88 runs well in it
