The 2007 GMC Yukon takes premium gasoline, which is 91 octane fuel. It can fun on 87 octanes, but this is not recommended as over time it will damage the engine. It does not run on diesel at all. If You put diesel in it do not start the engine, as this will foul it. Do not leave it to sit either, as simply being in the tank is bad for the car. You will have to have it towed and pumped immediately or risk damaging the car.

The Yukon is designed to use 91 octane gasoline. While 87 octane fuel can be used, this is not recommended.

In the owner's manual it says 87. That is what they recommend. I've done 87 and had 0 problems.
