If You want to knwo what type of a to use on the 2010 Subaru Legacy, You've come to the right place. If the model You have has turbo, then You would need to use premium unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 91 or higher. If You don't have turbo, You should use regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. You will always get the best performance on Your vehicle when You use the recommendedgas as stated on Your owner's manual. Remember not to drive around with low gas for long periods of time. Doing so can cause damage to Your fuel pump and Your wallet.

For non-turbo models, the 2010 Legacy uses 87 octane gas or higher. For turbo models, the Legacy uses 93 octane gas or higher. Subaru states that if 93 octane gas is not available, 91 octane can be used, but engine performance may be affected. Subaru also notes that although it should be avoided, 87 octane can be used temporarily for the turbo engines until the next fill-up.
