Dodge recommends using 5W-30 synthetic oil for the 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 engines and 5W-20 for the 5.7 V8 engine for the 2005 Durango.

We have 330,000 miles on our 2005 Dodge Durango with the 5.7 Hemi Engine. We have changed the oil on a regular basis at 3k regular oil 5k on synthetic. Never had any issue with either one?
