The 2005 Hyundai Tucson uses the SAE 5W-20 synthetic motor oil. This is the recommended oil suggested by the manufacturer. To get the best performance out of Your car, it is always best to follow that suggestion. The lifespan of the car will also benefit from doing so. An oil change typically costs about $100 to $145, depending on where You get it done, and what extra services they offer. It usually takes no more than an hour to complete and have You on Your way. Scheduling a routine change every 4,000 to 5,000 miles is the ideal interval between changes. If You are more savvy and would like to change it Yourself, look to Your local auto store, like Autozone to purchase it.

Hyundai recommends 5W-20 synthetic oil for both engine options; the 2.0L inline-4 engine and the 2.7L V6 engine; for the 2005 Hyundai Tucson. Hyundai says 5W-30 synthetic oil is allowable if 5W-20 is not available.
