The 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan uses SAE 5W-20 oil. Dodge recommends that You use full synthetic oil any time that You need to change it in Your van. There are two types of oil that are most common on the market today, synthetic and conventional. Synthetic oil is engineered in a lab to give You greater wear protection and longer life than the older conventional petroleum-based option. This means You will need less frequent oil changes, usually every 7,500 miles with synthetic compared to the 3,500 to 5,000 miles with conventional. I recommend checking Your oil at least once a month to make sure that it is full and free from signs of damage or debris in it.
