The 2014 Toyota Yaris uses SAE 5w-30 full synthetic oil. It has a capacity of 3.9 quarts. Oil keeps the internal parts of Your car's engine cool and lubricated and it also keeps the moving parts from grinding against each other thereby reducing wear and damage. The cost of an oil change for Your Yaris is between $90 and $110 for labor and parts. You should get an oil change every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. Signs that it's time for an oil change include a ticking sound coming from the engine, transmission shifting issues, shaking while idling, exhauSTSmoke, poor fuel economy, and of course if You see the Check Engine or Oil Change lights come on.

For the 2014 Yaris, Toyota recommends using SAE 5W-30 Toyota Genuine Motor Oil. This is a conventional oil. Toyota also states that if 5W-30 is not available, SAE 10W-30 may be used until the next oil change when 5W-30 is available.
