If You're hearing a grinding noise in Your rear differential on Your 2010 Cadillac SRX the most common issue is going to be from a damaged gear. This will be expensive and serious problem You'll need to fix right away. This is a bit of an advanced task so most owners are likely going to need to take it in to a professional. If You take it in to a shop the total cost of repairs will be between $500 and $1500.

Change the differential clutch pump fluid. Part #GM 88863340. Easy to do fluid NOT CHEAP!!! Look on rear end there is a small [ump motor on bottom pull out and remove let fluid drain use brake cleaner to clean screen on pump and clean out resivoir. Replace and fill while car is in drive on a lift if no lift then fill and drive a few miles then fill again. Good Luck
