The size of the Chevrolet Colorado fuel tank varies between model years, so without more specific information, it's difficult to give You a precise size. However, I'll try to be as thorough yet concise as I can, given the information that You've provided. FroM2004 until 2012, the Colorado came with a 19.0 gallon fuel tank. In 2015, it was upgraded to a 21.0 gallon tank, which persists through the current model year (2021). With a relatively good 20mpg city / 30 mpg highway, the fuel tank is more than enough to take You on extended journeys; this is far better than You'll get with other similarly powered trucks.

It's 21 gallons max. Diesel can upgrade bigger. Not gas. Wish can upgrade gas tank to 26-34 gallons capacity, long trip and great for hauling trailer, if no gas stations nearby. Wish factory or aftermarket can make GAS tank capacity bigger for Colorado.

William Ferdon - I had the same issue. After it clicked off I slowly kept added gas and added a total of 23 gallons (already had a few gallons in the tank). So it appears that the tank can hold more gas than 21 gallons? At first I thought it was an issue with the gas pump itself - no gas was entering the tank but the gallons/cost we just going up but it does seem that the tank holds more as I drove several hundred miles and the gas gauge did not move off of full. Very strange.
