Since 2018 the Chevrolet Malibu has had a 15.8-gallon gas tank with all engine variants. The 2016 and 2017 models used two tank sizes, the 1.5L engines have a 13-gallon tank and the 2.0L has a 15.8 gallon. Between 2013 and 2015 the 2.0 L engines have a 15.8-gallon tank, and the 2.5 L has an 18.5-gallon. FroM2008 and up to 2012 the Malibu has a 16-gallon tank regardless of engine size. The 2004 througH2007 models all have a 16.1-gallon capacity tank. The 2003 holds 14.1 gallons, the 2002 and 2001 14.8 gallons and the 2000 model holds 14.3 gallons.

Too small, the car is great on gas but always having to stop and put gas in the d**n thing. I think it’s a 12 gal tank, needs a 22 gal on it.
