The 2007 Chevy Impala uses dex-cool antifreeze in the vehicle. This is the same coolant that You will get from the Chevrolet factory or any Chevy dealership. If You have had Your coolant changed at a different third party shop I recommend checking with them to confirm the coolant that they used. It is not a good idea to mix different types of coolant in Your engine because that can lead to corrosion forming. When You are not sure about the type of coolant You have the safest thing that You can do is top the system off with distilled water. The distilled water may lower Your cooling capacity slightly but it will not cause any damage to the system.
