The 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier isn't too picky of a beast when it comes to engine coolant; the recommended type is A50/50 mix of DEX-COOL, but when I owned an '03 Cavalier back in the day, I'm pretty sure I could've used Coca Cola. In fairness, I joke -- and I have to include the disclaimer, DON'T USE COCA COLA IN YouR ENGINE! Of course, the most important thing to note is that You shouldn't mix different coolant types. This can lead to a chemical reaction that creates a jello-like substance, and will essentially ruin Your engine. If You're not sure what You have in there (perhaps if You bought the Cavalier preowned), You'll want to do a flush and fill, instead of just topping off; mixing more than 10% of a new coolant with a different type spells no bueno for the car.
