The type of oil a Honda CR-V takes is 0w-20. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine. Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into problems with the oil at some point. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. You could experience terrible gas mileage. Knocking noise may come about from the engine.

0W-20 Gradesynthetic grade oil for 2010 Honda CRV 2.4L AWD 4 WHEEL DRIVE BOTH THE SAME. Now called two Honda Dealers with in 13 miles the farthest and one just up the highway at SYNTHETIC BLEND at the closer one so they say, other say they charge $49.95 for oil changes, FULLY SYNTHETIC OR JUST REGULAR OIL DEPENDING HOW OLD AND IF IT FACTORY PLAIN OIL BUT WILL PUT FULLY SYNTHETIC FOR 5 QUARTSIF YOU ASK FOR IT. NOT FOR NOTHING, I TOLD HER YOU CAN'T PULL THAT ON ME, I USUALLY DUE IT MYSELF BUT JUST $49.95 FOR BOTH AT DEALERSHIP. I'M NOT A WOMAN AND KNOW VEHICLES, WITH THAT BEING SAID, I'LL NEVER DUE BUSINESS HERE NOT KNOWING ON OIL CHANGES, I STATED YOU USE DIRECTLY OUT OF A TANK, ANYONE CAN LABEL IT SO I CAN BE SHOWN OIL TANKS WITH 500 GALLONS BOUGHT PER BIGGEST TANK AND OTHER WILL BE SMALLER IF USED LESS. I STATED A $16 OIL CHANGE MY COST COST THREW YOU $49.95 AND I CAN DUE FULLY SYNTHETIC FOR $31 AND YOU MAKING $20 JUST ABOUT I'M HAPPY, NOW I'M LOOKING HERE AT FIRESTONE WITH THERE GREAT SYNTHETIC OILS NOW. A QUART IN A STORE IF THIS COST $7 I DID USE AMS OIL AND FILTER, THAT'S A COST FOR ME OF $85 BUT GO TO A FEW PLACES, ITS $119 CHARGE. THAT'S STILL WORTH IT AS IT'S THE BEST SYNTHETIC OIL ON THE MARKET. I WISH ALL PLACES OFFERED IT AS IT REALLY PROTECTS YOUR ENGINE, I PUT IN 15,000 MILE OIL, MY SUV GOES OFF 100% TO CHANGE JUST AROUND 5,000 MILES NOW, BUT I LEAK OIL COMPARED TO OTHER AMS OIL. BEWARE OF DEALERSHIPS AND ASK TO SEE OIL WHERE WORKING ON CAR, ASK THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO ASK THE TECH IF YOU CAN'T SEE YOUR VEHICLE. LAST TIME THERE, THEY ROTATED TIRES FOR FREE, NOT FREE HONDA PLACES ONE AT $49.95 & OTHER AT $69.95, SO A $20 CHARGE AND DROPPED WHEEL IF FACE OF WHEEL, WILL TAKE PICTURES BEFORE IT GOES IN, PLUS MILES, BEWARE THAT THERE SCREWING UP YOUR CARFAX AND BRINGS THE VALUE RIGHT DOWN, 3 TIMES AND ALL THREE TIMES WAS WRONG PLUS LAST TIME SCRAPED MY WHEEL PLUS IT HIT VALVE, NOW IT LEAKS AND WENT FLAT OVERNIGHT, I SAID IT ONCE OUT ON MILEAGE WAS WRONG AND FIXED IT SO THEY SAY BUT COULDN'T PROVE WHEEL SCRAPE THAT WAS LIKE NEW, NOW I PUT 10 LBS IN EVERY MORNING THAT'S WHAT IT LOSES IN 24 HOURS, GETTING NEW TIRES AND HAVING THEM REBUILT FOR CHEAP. I COULD BUY NEW FOR $125 FOR ALL 4 AND THEY SINK UP LIKE THAT. DEALERSHIP CHARGES BETWEEN $250 TO $508 IS WHAT I SEEN. BEWARE IF TPMS NOW, ASK THE COST OVER ALL BEFORE YOU DUE 4 TIRES WITH THEM IF TIGHT ON MONEY. SAVE AND TRY, YOU SAVE IN THE LONG RUN. ABOUT $150 SAVINGS IF ALL DONE AT ONCE. 2 AT A TIME OR BUY TIRES THEN GO BACK, THAT'S LABOR PLUS BALANCE THE TIRE OVER AGAIN, THAT'S $100 AT MOST PLACES, SO THAT'S GONNA BE THAT MUCH MORE.MOST GARAGES SELL UP ON YOU, IF TEN YEARS OLD, REPLACE THEM OR CLOSE TO IT, ASK THE TECH QUESTIONS, THEY WILL EXPLAIN. IT'S A COSTLY DAY IF NEED TOMS PLUS 4 TIRES AND MAYBE AN ALIGNMENT. ALWAYS GOOD BUT NOT ALWAYS NEEDED. MINE WERE DONE WITH REPLACING BALL JOINTS AND TIE ROD ENDS, SOMEDUE A FREE CHECK TO SEE BEFORE IF NEED IT.
