The 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD recommended transmission fluid depends on which transmission is installed. For the automatic transmissions it is recommended to use DEXRON-Ill Automatic Transmission Fluid. For the 5-Speed Manual Transmission with Low Gear use GM Goodwrench Synthetic Manual Transmission Fluid or equivalent SAE 75W-85 GL-4 gear oil. The 5-Speed Manual Transmission without Low Gear uses SynC-HRomesh Transmission Fluid or equivalent. The 6-Speed Manual Transmission with Low Gear uses of TranSynd Synthetic Transmission Fluid or equivalent. These fluids meet all of GM's requirements and they do not recommend using any additives or treatments to the transmission because doing so could damage it. You should change the transmission fluid and filter every 60,000 miles to extend the life of the transmission.
