There are a few reasons that a door lock in Your Honda CR-V might make noise, but in order to diagnose, You'll need to narrow it down a bit. Is the noise always there, or is it only when the lock is being engaged or disengaged Would You consider it more of a buzzing sound or a grinding sound A buzzing sound is usually caused by a failed or failing electrical component; it's quite possible that the sound You hear is electricity itself. If You hear more of a grinding or slight "clunking" noise, You're probably looking at gears that are grinding while in operation. The first thing You should check, aside from wiring, is the door lock actuator; these are known to fail early and often on the CR-V.

If you have a bad wire to the door then it may cause the door to lock and unlock on it's own.
