There are several reasons that could cause the Honda CR-V to click but not start. The number one issue is a charging system problem. If the battery does not have sufficient charge the starter relay won't be able to activate and turn the starter. Battery could be low on charge because of age, a faulty alternator, parasitic draw or extreme temperatures. Another cause would be a starter issue. The solenoid can be bad not allowing the starter to engage the flywheel. Sometimes in colder temperatures a weak battery won't allow the starter to turn the engine enough to get the gears meshed, turning the harmonic balancer With a socket and ratchet a little can help them align.

If your 2020 honda cr-v is making a clicking noise but won't start, it is typically an issue with the charging system, either a low battery or faulty alternator.
