Toyotas are known to be one of the most reliable cars but there are times when even they will encounter a check engine light. Some of the reasons why a 2013 Toyota Camry will get a check engine light are a bad oxygen sensor, faulty head gasket, emission part troubles, spark plugs, mass airflow sensor, and issues with the fuel injection system. If You do get a deaded CEL, I would recommend investing in an OBD scanner tool. You don't need to spend a lot of money on one if You don't want to. You can probably find one for 20 bucks. All You need to do is plug the scanner in Your vehicle and You'll be able to see via a code what it is that is causing the CEL to turn on.
