The fuel filter in a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 can be found on the top of the fuel tank on the fuel lines that are coming out of it from the pump. This has the job of filtering any contaminants out of Your fuel to prevent them from entering Your fuel lines and making it to Your rails or injectors. If You notice that fuel pressure is lower than average at Your fuELRails then that is a sign that the filter may be clogged and it is time to replace it. Replacing it should cost under $200 at a shop, and it is only about $30 for the part if You want to do it Yourself.

The 2002 dodge ram 1500's fuel filter is located on top of the fuel tank and you will need to disconnect the gas tank to replace it.
