The life expectancy of the 2003 GMC Envoy is generally dependent on how well it is taken care of. With proper maintenance it can last from 150,000 to over 400,000 miles. Without proper maintenance You will be like to get between 75,000 to 100,000 out of it. To properly take care of the Envoy You should follow the recommended maintenance schedule for the vehicle which should be listed in the owner's manual. The most important thing You can do for it is to do regular oil and oil filter changes which will help to keep the engine clean and running. Other maintenance to do on the vehicle is changing other fluids like coolant and transmission. You can also replace the filters and change the spark plugs when needed.

My 2003 Envoy has 347,500 miles on it and I do believe that it will go more than 400,000 miles. I purchased it new on February 4, 2003. I change oil every 8,000 miles and it is never down more than 1/4 inch on the dip stick. I use QUAKER STATE 5 30 oil. I had the transmission rebuilt at 300,000 miles and I had the transfer case repaired at 322,000 miles. The water pump went out at 244,000 miles and I had to replace the heater register at 280,000 miles. The rear air bags went out at 210,000 miles. I put $4675 in repairs since new. Not bad considering the cost of a new SUV. I guess the car will run as long as I keep having it repaired. I really like this SUV. R Stock

My 2003 Envoy has 317,000 miles. It just started to act like the engine is going to stall when I’m at a stop. Taking it in in a few days. Fingers crossed I can get at least 10,000 to 20,000 more miles!

My 04 gmc had 299,000 miles. Engine runs pretty good, it’s just the little things that are worn out or just not working anymore. But she runs like a champ

MINE has 90, 000 no running problems, but a lot of the fancy add on chap has caused me problems, , power mirrors, powered drivers seat. Power windows. Engine tranny and rest of running gear have been problem free.. Because of all the misc. Problems I will not buy another gm product/ Just brought my wife a used Hyundai, now will have to wait and see how reliable this is. BTW: Still running on original shocks and originall paint.
